Revival in his various forms was the main spirituality of people at that time, and not only spiritual (see Paul Bogle and Sam Sharpe national heroes rebels bio)
Rythmically....It's, it's...Revival pastors a sometimes REAL REAL deejays as Dancehall ones. (even if they would not apreciate I say this like that) but it's a very Serious ting musically ! A Powerful kind of Gospel from a very SPIRITUAL country : Jamaica.
